On the RS232 parameter page, choose the device column you are going to use for your PC and make sure the following settings apply:
Outputting CNC Programs:
1. Press DATA IN/OUT softkey.
2. Press OUTPUT softkey.
3. Type in 1 for part program.
4. Type in program number.
5. Press INPUT.
Inputting CNC Programs:
1. Press DATA IN/OUT softkey.
2. Press INPUT softkey.
3. Press DATA I/O softkey.
4. Press INPUT.
HOW TO STOP MITSUBISHI FROM STRIPPING SPACES ON INPUT/OUTPUT
Set bit 6 of mpar1 to 1 (VALID)
See page App 1-11 (APPENDIX 1, PAGE 11)
Bit 6 on that page says “Work Programs Space is enabled”
Parameter is in Base Spec Parameters, named mpar1.
Will still strip spaces from the comment on the O-Program number line.
