Optimizing Operator Interactions with FactoryWiz Monitoring

9.1 Overview

Overview

The most efficient way of letting FactoryWiz know information about the “whys” (idle reason / operator / machine mode / etc) is to have the machine operator input the information on a Tablet mounted on their machine as they go about their day.

Click on a widget to change or set information.

We recommend one tablet securely mounted to each machine.

Each panel shown in Figure 7‑1 is a fully customizable widget. The administrator of FactoryWiz controls if you can click on the widget and change the information.

Email Widgets

Email widgets can be used to email different people with different messages. In Figure 7‑1 there are three Call buttons to email different departments. To configure the message that is sent, see Mailing Lists.

Idle Widgets

Idle widgets can be used on the main tablet interface instead of navigating to the idle reason list. This is only effective if “Redirect to ‘Idle Reason’ page if not running is disabled. You can disable it in System Settings

 Mode Widgets

Add machine mode widgets to make it quick and easy to change the mode.
