Guidelines for Installing and Updating Custom Services in CNC Monitoring Systems

Installing a Custom Service

  1. Copy the files you have received to C:\Program Files\RYM\CNC Monitoring Suite on the FactoryWiz server
  2. Make a note of the name of the exe file (it is usually RYM YOUR COMPANY NAME.exe, we'll use RYM Customer Name in this example)
  3. Open command line as an administrator
  4. Type in: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Installutil.exe "C:\Program Files\RYM\CNC Monitoring Suite\RYM Customer Name.exe"
  5. Be sure to change RYM Customer Name.exe to the name of your file
  6. Hit enter
  7. If there are no errors, open services from the window menu. You will need admin privileges.
  8. Find RYM Customer Name in the list and start it.
  9. Make sure there are no errors.
If you get an error or it doesn't install, please contact us.

Updating an Existing Custom Service

  1. Download the dll file we send you onto the server
  2. Open windows services as an admin
  3. Stop the service RYM Customer Name (your company name)
  4. Paste the dll to C:\Program Files\RYM\CNC Monitoring Suite and overwrite the existing.
  5. Start the service
