FactoryWiz Reporting: How to Choose, Customize and Download Reports

4.1 Reports

Change the Report Name dropdown to select the report you would like to run, then modify the specific criteria and then either click Preview or Download to view the report. There is an existing list of close to 20 "canned" reports that come with the FactoryWiz Monitoring system. These reports are written in Crystal Reports, so if your company owns a license for the Crystal Reports Writer from SAP, and someone at your company also has the knowledge for how to modify Create and/or Modify Crystal Reports, then you can either create or modify Crystal Reports to suite your specific needs. FactoryWiz does not supply the Crystal Reports Writer software.

Below the report parameters area, the user can select the desired format to download the report.  The options include:

  1. Download to Crystal Reports Viewer*

* You will need to download and install the Crystal Reports Viewer from the link on the in Figure 6 3 in you choose to view the report in Crystal Reports Viewer.

After selecting the file format for the report, click the “Download Report” button directly below the format selection drop down menu.  This will download the selected report with the current parameters, in the format chosen, to your local PC. You can also simply click the Preview button to have the report show in a modal popup window on the same page, and from there you should also be able to download or print the report, depending on the capabilities of the browser you are using.
