This guide is for the embedded ethernet (CD38A) not Data Server of Fast Board.

Configuring Fanuc Focas for Monitoring

FactoryWiz


  1. Login as an Admin
  2. Navigate to CONFIGURATION > MACHINE
  3. ADD
  4. Input the name of the machine
  5. Set the machine type to Fanuc Focas
  6. Add the IP address and port to 8193
  7. Save.
  8. Navigate to CONFIGURATION > LICENSING
  9. Increase the Fanuc FOCAS license allocation accordingly and save
  10. Restart the RYM FOCAS service in CONFIG > Service


Newer Controls (30i/31i/32i/35i)



To locate the screen above:
  1. SYSTEM hardkey
  2. Press > or Next page on the screen buttons until you ETH PARAM or ETH PRM (ethernet parameter)
  3. Make sure the available device is Embedded (if not you can swap it by clicking EMB / PCMCIA on screen)
  4. Set the IP, subnet and gateway as required (check with your IT dept for this information)
  5. Select the FOCAS page and set the port to 8193 and the time interval to 100.
  6. Click RSTART to restart the embedded ethernet module. You can do this when the machine is idle.
If you are monitoring you machine with FactoryWiz, you will also need to set the FOCAS TCP port to 8193. 

Older Controls (0i-C/0i-D/16i-B/18i-B/21i-B)


  1. Put the control into MDI mode
  2. Press OFFSET/SETTING hardkey
  3. Press setting screen key.
  4. Turn on parameter write enable.
  5. Press SYSTEM hardkey to display parameters
  6. Click > screen key until you see ETH PRM and ETH MNT 
  7. Click ETH PRM,
  8. Click OPRT
  9. EMBEDD
  10. Enter IP address, subnet as required (you will need to get this information from your IT dept)
  11. Page down to access FOCAS settings and set the TCP port to 8193 and the time interval to 100.
  12. Restart the control (full power cycle) for changes to take effect.
