CNC Parameters

You will need to verify all parameters listed below that correspond to your CNC control.  These parameters may not match your particular machine’s control. Document (phone camera) original settings before making modifications!

Changing CNC Parameters

System (Param) screen:

Choose Parameters.

Page down until RS232 parameters appear for CN0.

Baud rate: Match FactoryWiz setting.
RS232C character: 8 bit  (cannot change, but you still set to 7 data bits in FactoryWiz)
RS232C parity bit: NON
RS232C stop bit: 2
Ready waiting time: 10 sec
Flow control: DC CODE
Delay timer until RS switches OFF: 0 msec
Designates the amount of RS OFF time: 0 msec
DC2/DC4 at punch: DOES NOT
DC when read/verify finished: DOES NOT

 

FactoryWiz DNC Settings

Basic Communication

1.01- Port Type: Standard

1.11- Baud: 4800

1.12- Data Bits: 7

1.13- ASCII Even

1.14- Stop Bits: 2

1.15- Handshake: XON/XOFF

 

Sending Options

2.11- Leader:

2.12- Trailer: %<0>

2.27- Force upper case: True

2.31- Automatic timeout: 7

 

Receiving Options

3.11- Program identifier 1: $

3.12- Program Identifier 2:

3.21- Receive timeout: 3

3.31- Ignore data before first end-of-block: False

3.32- Ignore data after last end-of-block: True

3.41- Mask characters: <0><18><20>

 

Remote Commands

4.02- Request for file command: GET-

4.03- Request for file command (drip feed): DNC-

4:11- Request to save command: PUT-


 

Additional Notes

Outputting CNC Programs

Press Edit/Aux.

Press right screen button until RS232 appears.

Press RS232.

Press Output.

Cursor to program you want sent, press OK.

 

Inputting CNC Programs

Press Edit/Aux.

Press right screen button until RS232 appears.

Press RS232.

Press Input.

Press OK.  Program will load with correct name if formatted correctly, otherwise it will load in as A.min
